About the Role
The Virtual Chapter Leader of The Black Girl Social Club (BGSC) is a visionary host and digital connector—someone who thrives on building community through screens and creating meaningful, engaging, and culturally rich virtual experiences.
You’ll be the heart of BGSC’s global online chapter — bringing together members from cities (and continents!) where we don’t yet have local chapters. Your mission? Make this digital sisterhood feel like home.
What You’ll Do
1. Curate Virtual Connection & Celebration
- Plan and host 2-3 virtual events per month, ranging from fun socials to thoughtful discussions, workshops, or themed experiences
- Make space for joy, healing, learning, and connection — think happy hours, wellness nights, author chats, or even virtual brunches
2. Lead & Engage a Global Sisterhood
- Welcome new members into the virtual chapter and help them get connected
- Post weekly check-ins, highlights, and affirmations in our Circle platform
- Create inclusive opportunities for members to share, bond, and participate
3. Collaborate with BGSC Leadership
- Attend monthly leadership check-ins and stay up-to-date with national initiatives
- Submit monthly chapter reports (we make it easy!)
- Align your chapter’s calendar with major BGSC happenings (no overlap with national events)
4. Embody & Uphold the BGSC Way
- Set the tone for what intentional online sisterhood looks like — warm, inclusive, drama-free, and rooted in community and service
Who We’re Looking For
- You’re a natural host. You love planning experiences that bring people together and have the time to cultivate sisterhood for our members around the world who desire to be connected to the BGSC community.
- You’re organized and creative. You can keep a calendar, communicate clearly, and think outside the box for virtual event ideas.
- You’re comfortable online. Zoom, Canva, Circle, Google Forms — you’re not afraid of the tech (and we’ll train you on what you don’t know).
- You’re passionate about sisterhood. You believe in the power of Black women connecting across borders and backgrounds.
