Organization: The Black Girl Social Club (BGSC)
Reports to: Team Manager

Compensation and Hours: $20/hr 8 hours per week maximum

The Black Girl Social Club is a global organization dedicated to creating spaces where Black women can connect, grow, and thrive socially, professionally, and personally. With chapters around the world, BGSC promotes sisterhood, empowerment, and cultural celebration through curated experiences, community engagement, and meaningful connections.

 

Position Overview

 

We are seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Marketing Manager to elevate the online presence of The Black Girl Social Club. The ideal candidate is a dynamic storyteller who understands the power of digital communities and is committed to amplifying the voices and experiences of Black women worldwide.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with BGSC’s brand values, mission, and goals.
  • Manage and grow BGSC’s presence across all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, etc.).
  • Create and curate engaging, on-brand content including graphics, videos, reels, and copy that drive engagement and community growth.
  • Monitor analytics and insights to track performance, identify trends, and optimize content strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and chapter leaders to highlight events, initiatives, and member stories.
  • Manage the content calendar to ensure consistent posting and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Engage directly with the BGSC online community—responding to comments, messages, and mentions to foster authentic connection.
  • Stay current with social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep BGSC’s digital presence innovative and relevant.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience managing social media for a brand, organization, or influencer.
  • Proven success in growing social media audiences and engagement.
  • Strong visual eye and experience with content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, etc.).
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a clear understanding of tone, voice, and audience.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools (Meta Insights, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Passion for community building and the empowerment of Black women.
