Overview
Serving as a Chapter Vice President within The Black Girl Social Club (BGSC) is a powerful opportunity to co-lead, support, and shape the heartbeat of your local sisterhood. In this role, you’ll work closely alongside the Chapter President to bring the BGSC mission to life—through community-building, strategic planning, and culture-setting.
As VP, you’ll serve as both a thought partner and an operational anchor. You’ll have the chance to develop your leadership skills, receive national recognition, and help grow a movement rooted in sisterhood, service, and Black excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities
1. Supportive Chapter Leadership
- Serve as the right hand to the Chapter President in all local operations
- Step into the President’s role as needed during absences or transitions
- Help cultivate a culture of excellence, connection, and accountability
2. Member Engagement & Retention
- Personally check in with new members to ensure a smooth transition into the chapter
- Monitor and support member satisfaction, conflict resolution, and engagement
- Offer support during chapter events, planning meetings, and decision-making
3. Event Support & Strategic Execution
- Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of monthly events
- Coordinate logistics, member outreach, and post-event follow-up
- Help ensure events align with BGSC’s core pillars and values
4. Communication & Delegation
- Support ongoing communication between members, Chapter President, and Division Manager
- Co-lead leadership meetings and manage internal chapter communication as needed
- Provide mentorship and support to other chapter volunteers and committee leads
5. Legacy Building & Leadership Growth
- Bring fresh ideas, initiatives, and creativity to chapter growth and impact
- Develop as a future Chapter President or national leader within BGSC
- Champion the organization’s vision for lasting change, sisterhood, and Black joy
