As a Chapter President, you’ll lead a dynamic community of Black women by curating meaningful experiences, fostering authentic connection, and championing the BGSC mission in your region. Roles & Responsibilities
1. Chapter Leadership & Vision
- Represent BGSC’s mission, values, and brand locally with excellence
- Build and guide a local leadership team (VP, Sisterly Relations, Event Leads, etc.)
- Create a warm, inclusive space for Black women to feel seen, celebrated, and supported
2. Membership Growth & Retention
- Lead membership recruitment campaigns and welcome new members with care
- Promote a culture of consistency, connection, and engagement
- Monitor member satisfaction and act as a liaison between members and national leadership
3. Event Curation & Community Engagement
- Plan and host monthly chapter events that reflect BGSC’s 5 pillars: Sisterhood, Wellness, Education, Social Impact, and Fun
- Ensure a well-rounded calendar of events: social, service, cultural, and networking
- Collaborate with other chapter leaders for regional or multi-chapter experiences
4. Communication & Reporting
- Submit monthly chapter reports: attendance, member engagement, event recaps
- Maintain regular communication with your assigned Division Manager
- Keep chapter members up to date on national initiatives, events, and news
5. Impact & Representation
- Participate in national initiatives (BGSC Day, Service Weekends, Virtual Summits, etc.)
- Serve as the voice of your city in national planning conversations
- Encourage volunteerism and service in your chapter’s community
